2 days tuition and 1 nights accommodation

Day 1 Meet at Mount Studholme Homestead at 10:30am for morning tea and an introduction to the horses. Today we will be working in the yards and the arena getting your confidence up and learning the very basics to keep you safe around horses. Practicing trail riding on our quiet, purpose bred sure footed horses is great to regain your confidence. Depending on our progress and confidence levels, later today we will go for a 2 hour ride on Mount Studholme farm.

A two course dinner is provided and accommodation is a unisex bunkhouse. There are showers and flushing toilets, we can play music and sing around the lounge stone fireplace (like we do on the trails).

Day 2 After Hearty Farm Breakfast We will recap the previous days learning, go over any questions and head out, tucker boxes packed for a four hour ride out to the picturesque Waihao River. This is a beautiful spot where eagle eyes may spot NZ falcons, trout or wild deer and wallabies. We enjoy our picnic at the river and head home to talk through the day and any questions. We can practice some of our techniques along the route and it is a great time to ask questions. 

Enjoy a cuppa on the deck at 3:30pm and travel home.

Completion of this training course entitles the rider to 5% discount on their first trail.
